If you’ve ever wanted to know what it would be like to be in a fraternity, W.R. Bolen’s “Total Frat Move” will certainly give you the good, the bad and the ugly details.

The story follows Townes Prescott during his four years in Alpha, a top fraternity on campus. The story starts with his first day on campus his freshman year when a group of sorority girls kidnap him and a friend to take them to a party at Alpha.

TFM doesn’t sugarcoat Townes’s hazing and Hell Week experiences. It’s pretty much impossible not to cringe when reading about the torturous things the actives make the pledges do. At one point, Townes even gets his head bashed into a wall by a belligerent active.

By the end of TFM, Townes and all of his friends embody the image of stereotypical frat boys — pushing their limits with alcohol, sex and drugs. They certainly enjoy their time in college to the fullest.

TFM is definitely not for the faint of heart. However, for such a raunchy storyline, the book is well-written and exciting. Chances are you’ll find it impossible to put down, and you’ll be telling all your friends to read about Townes and his crazy adventures.
