This year, The Maneater celebrates 70 years of being the student voice of the University of Missouri. During the past seven decades, The Maneater has had to constantly adapt to best serve our community. This year alone, we’ve already redesigned our website to provide our readers with a cleaner, easier viewing experience.

The Call of the Columns isn’t just a slogan, it’s a beckoning to the legacies and dedications of 114 years of history. It also serves as a pillar during challenging times and an encouraging voice to keep going. Having an outlet that can express and solidify our values and dreams will continue to be our call this year, and for decades to come.

Since 1892, the Columns have stood as a symbol of Mizzou’s traditions.
For over 130 years, Tigers past and present have gathered at the Columns to celebrate milestones and mark new beginnings.

Homecoming is not simply a return. It’s a reminder that no matter where life leads Mizzou students, the columns call them home.

From first-year students stepping onto the Quad to alumni returning decades later, this call is the same: to reconnect, celebrate and honor the shared Mizzou experience.

This cover reflects that enduring call, one that invites us to connect and celebrate — the call of the columns.
