For in-state residents, there are numerous polling locations available to vote in the upcoming midterm election — though each voter has a designated polling place based on their home address. After registration, voters may receive a voter identification card listing their precinct and specific polling location by mail. However, some voters may not be eligible to receive a voter ID card unless they submit a copy of their identification or have voted at their designated polling place at least once. The Boone County Clerk’s office also mails this notice and a sample ballot to every voter already registered two weeks prior to the election.
For those who didn’t receive this information or are still unaware of their specific polling locations, there are various resources that can help. Voters can search their voter records, request sample ballots and find their polling places on databases through the Boone County County Clerk or the Missouri’s Voter Outreach Center websites. Voters may additionally check their voter registration and polling place here.
Polling locations are open for voters to cast their ballots from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Out-of-state students can still vote by absentee ballot in select states before Election Day. To ensure all ballots are counted, registered voters should confirm their ballots are postmarked by Election Day; ballots that arrive late but are postmarked before or on this day will still count in most states.
