This is Missouri’s 14th commitment for the class of 2024.
On Friday, three-star defensive lineman Elias Williams committed to Missouri football for the class of 2024. He chose the Tigers over Florida State, Indiana, KU and UCF and is the 14th commitment in Missouri’s 2024 class.
“I’m choosing Mizzou because they are genuine and it feels like home,” Williams told PowerMizzou.com prior to his announcement.
The 6’4”, 240-pound high school senior from Hudson, Florida, is a standout for Hudson High School. Last season, Williams registered 51 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 29 quarterback hurries, seven sacks and two forced fumbles. He also played tight end for the Cobras.
Rivals.com’s southeast analyst John Garcia Jr. has high praise for Williams as he enters his senior season at Hudson:
“Williams looks to have added good weight early in his senior season, allowing for a more versatile defensive approach as an inside-out rusher,” Garcia Jr. said. “He is steady with his hands and has enough lower body power to work through initial contact, with true redirection skill thereafter. After making more than 20 stops behind the line of scrimmage as a junior in 2022, he looks even more poised to splash against both the pass and the run this fall.”
Along with five-star phenom Williams Nwaneri and three-star Jaylen Brown, “D-Line Zou” is putting together a stellar defensive front for 2024 and beyond.
