This is Missouri’s first commitment of the 2025 class
Lost in the shuffle of Saturday’s thrilling victory over Kansas State was more good news in the world of Missouri football.
Shortly after the win, it was announced that four-star defensive lineman Julian Marks committed to the Tigers. The Overland Park, KS native is the first commit of the 2025 class for Missouri. He committed to the Tigers over Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Oregon.
Earlier this year, the current St. Thomas Aquinas junior spoke very highly of Mizzou.
“I have visited them about three to four times already. It is the place I have visited the most. Every time I go back, it feels more and more like home,” Marks told On3 back in March. “They treat me like family, and that is nice. Coach (Kevin) Peoples and Coach (Al) Davis are the coaches I have been talking to and spending time with on the visits. The coaches there are good guys, and they make it feel like family.”
After a recent visit to Columbia, Marks raved about the positional versatility the Tigers offer on defense.
“Coach Davis talked about how I would fit into their system and with my size, athleticism and speed,” Marks said of his most recent visit to Columbia. “I could play everything.”
