Missouri took the lead early in the game with a penalty kick by sophomore Kylee Simmons that landed in the top left corner in the 14th minute. With this goal, Simmons padded her lead in the goals scored amongst SEC players to nine. Ole Miss’ freshman goalkeeper Addie Yelton came off of giving up four goals in their loss against Texas A&M.

In the 84th minute, another yellow card was given, this time to Ole Miss redshirt freshman forward Grace Freeman after she knocked Hollenbach down during a goal attempt.
However, the Rebels were at least able to play with 11 players the entire game; Missouri couldn’t say the same. Tiger senior defender Rachel Kutella received a red card in the 21st minute after tripping senior forward Kelly Brady just outside of Missouri’s box. Ole Miss’ wasn’t able to take advantage of the close foul kick, as Brady missed the net, but Missouri was forced to play the rest of the game with just 10 players on the field.

The Rebels kept their offensive push going in the second half and took the lead in the 69th minute after Brady drove her seventh goal of the year into the top left corner of the goal.
This was Missouri’s fourth consecutive loss in SEC play, with their only win coming against the Florida Gators on Sept. 15. This is the first time the Tigers have lost to Ole Miss since 2003.
