MU students got together to create posters giving thanks to faculty members who keep the university running smoothly
MU’s Honors College Programming Board hosted a Thanksgiving Crafternoon, encouraging students to craft fliers showing appreciation for campus faculty. The event was held on Nov. 13 in Lowry Hall, and the fliers are set to be hung up in every residence hall on campus.

Freshman Maddie Terry sketches out a design to show how thankful she is for MU faculty. “I definitely decided that I wanted to come and help make these fliers to show appreciation for faculty because I feel like students can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of college life, and sometimes we don’t pay attention to the people who contribute things here and there that really build up that college experience for us,” Terry said. “I wanted to come out and spend a little bit of my day thanking those for all that they do, especially in this time of thanksgiving.”
Freshman Owen Neely colors a piece of construction paper while making one of his fliers. “It’s always fun to show appreciation because they work so hard to provide for our campus,” Neely said.
Freshman Macy Monical focuses on sketching a design for a Thanksgiving flier. “We just want to show that we’re thankful for those who work here,” Monical said.
A small stack of designed fliers sits on a table. A holiday crafternoon event is in the works of being planned for after fall break.
