
Missouri finished with a total of 18 gold medals with equal success on both sides of the pool
Missouri swimming and diving can seemingly not lose to Missouri State, as it increased its win streak over the Bears to 15. Missouri went on the road to Springfield over the weekend of Dec. 1 and erased any question in mind, winning on both sides of the pool with a men’s score of 153-90 and a women’s score of 147-96.
Meanwhile, the diving team was out in Knoxville, Tennessee competing in the USA Diving Winter Nationals, with divers Collier Dyer and Kamyrn Wong in competition. They had solid performances, as Wong finished No.18 in the one-meter and No.17 in the three-meter, while Dyer placed No.11 in the one-meter qualifying for platform finals, where he finished with a score of 582.30. Both sophomore divers gave solid performances for Missouri.
Grant Bochenski stole the show in Springfield, winning all four events he participated in. In the 200 Medley Relay, Bochenski brough Missouri to a win f the events Bochenski complimenting the Tiger’s victory in the 200 Free Relay on both the men’s and women’s side. Daniel Wilson was another swimmer that took home multiple gold medals, leaving the meet with three after winning in both relay races and placing No.1 in the 100-yard Freestyle.
Similarly, on the women’s side, Sierra Smith had similar stats with two wins in relay races and a victory in the 50-yard freestyle. Zara Zallen and Taylor Williams also had multiple gold medals, both coming out with two gold medals and a silver.
