Missouri women’s golf finished its fall season at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Lihue, Hawaii, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, coming second out of 19 teams.
The Tigers finished the three-day tournament at 4-under par with a total score of 860, tying with runner-up Santa Clara.
First-year Ebba Liljeberg led the way for Mizzou, tying for third place at 5-under par alongside Baylor’s Silje Ohma and Santa Clara’s Kelsey Kim. Liljeberg closed out the tournament strong, shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round to climb four spots on the leaderboard.
Junior Fleur van Beek finished in 13th place at even par, delivering a steady performance by carding even-par rounds each round of the tournament. Senior Addie Dobson finished 18th at 2-over par, highlighted by 12 birdies and an eagle. Despite a difficult second round, Dobson posted a 1-under 71 in the third to climb ten spots on the leaderboard.
Rounding out the Tigers’ lineup was senior Melanie Walker, who finished 29th at 4-over par and recorded the team’s lowest round of the tournament with a 4-under 68 in the second round. Sophomore Alexandra Berglund closed out the tournament at 13-over par, good for 77th place.
The Baylor Bears secured their third Rainbow Wahine Invitational title with a 13-under team score. Junior Yurang Li claimed the individual title at 12-under par, marked by a tournament-best 7-under 65 in the final round.
The Tigers will open their spring season at the Wisconsin-hosted Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona, Feb. 22–23.
