Missouri soccer finished its 2025 campaign with a 1-1 draw on the road against Auburn. The Tigers finished 15th in the Southeastern Conference, missing postseason play by five points.
Senior midfielder Hailey Chambliss scored the equalizer for the Tigers in the last eight minutes of play. She was able to convert a point-blank finish following a goalmouth scramble-and-save from Auburn keeper Ayana Yapo.
This marks Chambliss’ third goal of the season, which is tied with junior midfielder Olivia Chianelli for the most on the team.
Chambliss also finished the season with the most points on the team, a feat she earned without starting a single match for the Tigers.
Auburn broke the deadlock 20 minutes in. Junior captain Dylan Driver received a long through ball that put her through on goal. She cut back and slammed the ball into the back of the net, surrounded by three Missouri defenders.
Driver has been the powerhouse behind the Auburn attack all season. She totaled seven assists in the regular season, the second-most in the SEC.
Missouri’s offensive woes persisted during the opening of the match. It took the Tigers 57 minutes to find their first shot of the match. They finished the game with five shots compared to Auburn’s 20.
Head coach Stefanie Golan turned to underclassmen to fill out the Tiger lineup. Sophomore defender Callaway Combs made her first start in black and gold, and Riley Wilkerson returned after her debut against Arkansas.
The sophomore keeper delivered once again, denying the Tigers nine times. Wilkerson has provided 14 saves in two matches with the Tigers.
Missouri finished the season 4-10-2 and 1-7-1 in conference play. The Tigers closed out their schedule with a pair of impressive draws against competitive teams, but still didn’t earn a trip to the SEC tournament.
This marks the seventh season in a row without a tournament appearance for the Tigers, who are still looking for their first taste of postseason soccer since 2018.
