Missouri football picked up its first commitment of the 2027 cycle Thursday afternoon as Omaha quarterback Braylen Warren pledged to the Tigers.
The three-star recruit from Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska, joins Pennsylvania product Gavin Sidwar as the second incoming Missouri quarterback.
Warren stands at 6-foot-1 with a bulky 200-pound frame, allowing him to run through defenders and be an immediate dual-threat option, pairing a ground game with his uber-accurate arm.
Warren threw for 2,105 yards, 30 touchdowns and just eight interceptions on 147-for-219 passing (.671) in 2025. He also rushed 48 times for 175 yards and 2 scores on 3.6 yards per carry, all while taking Westside to a Nebraska Class A state title runner-up finish and a 12-1 record.
Warren is ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Nebraska and the No. 29 quarterback in the nation in the class of 2027 by 247Sports. He earned offers from Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State and Texas, among many other high-end Division I schools; however, he opted for Missouri.
The decision came after Warren unofficially visited Columbia on Nov. 15, when the Tigers took down Mississippi State 49-27. However, interest between Warren and Missouri dates back to September of 2024, when the then-sophomore paid his first visit to the Tigers.
The signing comes as the first of a likely many for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz in the 2027 cycle, which is expected to ramp up as Missouri expands its early recruiting board.
