Police responded to another assault May 23 after a man punched his wife in the face repeatedly, then fled the scene before police arrived, a CPD report stated.
The victim reported that her husband came to visit his children at their apartment. The children eventually became upset with their father’s presence, and he was asked to leave. The father refused, despite the mother’s insistence.
This led the father to become upset and act violently, punching his wife in the face. She tried to push him out of the apartment, when he spat at her and punched her in the face a second time. She called the police, while he ran out the back door prior to their arrival. Police are still searching for the suspect.
