1. Center Hall altercation leads to arrest
A suspect was arrested on multiple charges after an altercation with his girlfriend Sunday night in Center Hall.
“We were called in reference to a disturbance in Center Hall,” MU Police Department Capt. Scott Richardson said. “When officers arrived, they found a domestic disturbance involving the subject’s girlfriend. The subject was taking a shower and he came out and exposed himself, leading to the sexual misconduct charge.”
Adam Fuchs, 20, of Ballwin was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, second-degree sexual misconduct, third-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage. He was taken to Boone County Jail early Monday on $2,000 bond.
2. Three arrested at Bengal’s Bar and Grill
Columbia Police Department officers conducted an open business check at 1:23 p.m. Monday at Bengal’s Bar and Grill.
Officers approached Kristen Hood, 20, and Amelia Carter, 19, both of whom had drinks in their hands. They police asked for identification, and the identification they provided was not their own. They were arrested on charges of possession of alcohol and a fake ID, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.
Officers also observed MU student Ashley Ficken urinating next to a vehicle in the parking lot. She was arrested on charges of urinating in a public place open to public view. All three suspects were released on summons.
3. Police break up nuisance party
Officers were dispatched for a disturbance at 10:43 p.m. Monday night to the 1800 block of Sunset Drive where 10 people were outside. Both sides of the duplex were hosting parties. When the police asked everyone to leave, approximately 40 people left the residences.
Brandon Hockstedler, William Petersen, Jonah Mirfendereski, John Bresnahan and Trevor Bond, all 21, were arrested on charges of allowing the party to become a nuisance. All five were later released after being served summons.
4. CPD officers arrest seven on charges of underage drinking
The CPD officers arrested seven people early Tuesday morning on charges of minor in possession by consumption, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.
Kelsie Klosterman, 20, and Abby Fotiness, Taylor Jansen, Kelsie Klosterman, Davorn Kristo, Morgan Mitchell, Brett Shaw, and Brian Foppe, all 19, were reportedly drinking and playing loud music at 12:19 a.m., near the 1400 block of Rolling Rock Drive. Officers on a routine patrol found six of the suspects at a table in a garage at the residence. All seven were arrested and later released on summons. Shaw was also arrested on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, and Foppe was arrested on charges of possession of a fake ID.
5. Senior arrested after late-night nude swim
An MU senior was arrested after he was found swimming naked in the Mark Twain Residence Hall pool early Tuesday.
“They were swimming in the pool and the male subject had no clothes on,” Richardson said. “It was after hours, so the act counts as trespassing.”
Senior Charles Schulz, 22, was arrested on charges of first-degree trespassing and indecent exposure at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
