**1. Police arrest two on charges of shoplifting**
Columbia Police Department officers were dispatched at 2:07 p.m. Monday in response to a report of shoplifting at the Walmart at 1201 Grindstone Parkway.
Sierra Taylor, 20, and Jasmine Washington, 20, allegedly stuffed items into their purses in the restroom and attempted to leave the store without paying. They were caught shoplifting and were both arrested on charges of stealing.
**2. Student arrested after discovered with marijuana in parking garage**
A freshman was arrested on drug charges Monday night in the Virginia Avenue parking garage.
MU Police Department Capt. Scott Richardson said an officer on foot patrol noticed two subjects smoking on top of the parking garage shortly after 9 p.m.
“There was a slight odor of marijuana near the subjects as the officer approached,” Richardson said. “The officer discovered marijuana on the subject and arrested him for possession.”
Maximilian Kelderhouse, 18, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.
**3. Man arrested on charge of obstructing government operations**
Police arrested Zachary Lambert, 23, at 11:12 p.m. Monday in the area of Claudell Lane. As the officers were conducting a vehicle check, Lambert repeatedly tried to interfere with the officers’ communications with the driver of the car.
According to Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Latisha Stroer, Lambert approached the officers in a threatening manner and told the driver to just drive away. After telling Lambert to leave multiple times, the officers attempted to arrest him. Lambert resisted with physical force and attempted to flee. Lambert was arrested on charges of obstructing government operations, resisting or interfering with arrest and third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
**4. Man charged with taking pictures up woman’s dress in Macy’s**
Officers were dispatched at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday to Macy’s Department Store at 201 N. Stadium Blvd. A female victim said a man wearing a gray hoodie, baggy jeans and headphones had tried to take pictures up her dress. Staff pointed the officers in the direction of the suspect and the officers found Nathaniel Langdon, 29, who matched the description provided by the victim.
Langdon told the officers he had recently been in Macy’s, and the officers found photos on his phone of the female victim. Langdon was arrested on charges of invasion of privacy in the second-degree.
**5. Man arrested after leaving children in vehicle**
A Columbia man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly leaving two young children locked in his car outside the Columbia Regional Hospital.
“The subject left two kids in the vehicle when he went in to help discharge a patient who was coming out,” MU Police Department Capt. Scott Richardson said.
Richardson said Larez Clarkson, 20, entered the hospital shortly after 11 p.m. and MUPD officers arrived at 11:30 p.m after receiving a complaint. One child was three years old and the other was two years old, Richardson said.
Clarkson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree child endangerment and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to Boone County Jail and released Thursday on $1,000 bond, according to county records.
