**1. Police make arrest in steam tunnel trespassing**
MU Police Department officers were dispatched at 11:38 p.m. Saturday to 501 S. Ninth St. after five unauthorized people entered the steam tunnels under Francis Quadrangle.
“There are alarms and cameras all over the place so breaking into the tunnels is not too intelligent,” MUPD Capt. Brian Weimer said.
Officers waited outside the tunnel exits until the subjects came out.
Brenden Rowberry, 18; Brian Zurosky, 18; Corey Richards, 18; Mason Koenig, 19; and Lucas Hanson, 19; were arrested on charges of first-degree trespassing.
**2. Marijuana leads to arrest in Laws**
At 2:18 a.m. Sunday, MU Police Department officers were called to Laws Residence Hall after a student smelled marijuana coming from one of the rooms on the ninth floor.
Officers arrived to find Steven Jacobson and Alexander Walanka, both 18, in possession of marijuana, according to an MUPD report. After further investigation, officers also found beer cans and three bottles of liquor in their refrigerator.
Officers charged Walanka and Jacobson with possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana. Jacobson was also charged with possession of false identification.
**3. Police respond to marijuana report from Lathrop**
MUPD officers were called at 12:20 a.m. Saturday to Lathrop Residence Hall after someone reported three people smoking marijuana outside.
“Officers were looking for two females, a blonde and a brunette, and one male wearing a stocking cap,” Weimer said. “Officers came around a corner and found all three subjects.”
Olivia Kabbani, 18, was charged with possession of alcohol after officers found a bottle of vodka in her backpack. Alexander Mundell, 18, and Sarah Estep, 17, were charged with possession of marijuana, and Estep was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
**4. Open business check at Field House leads to arrests**
Officers conducted an open business check at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Field House Bar, according to a Columbia Police Department police report.
Five individuals were arrested for consuming alcohol under the legal age. Patrick Healey, 19, was arrested for purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor. Christopher Chmelik, 19; Benjamin Mahnken, 20; Todd McMahill, 20; and Nicholas Grossman, 19, were charged with purchase or possession of alcohol by minors and false identification. All five were released on summons.
**5. Intoxicated woman hits officer**
A woman is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer after an incident downtown early Sunday morning.
Sarah S. Zurhellen, 30, was arrested around 1:55 a.m. in the area of Tenth and Ash streets after she allegedly attempted to start fights with people walking by her.
Zurhellen had consumed a large amount of alcohol, according to a police report. One officer approached Zurhellen and she became verbally abusive toward the officer and swung her right arm, hitting the officer in the right arm.
**6. Disturbance leads to drug arrest**
Officers were called in response to a verbal disturbance at 11:27 p.m. Sunday at 2616 Rock Quarry Road. Officers arrived on the scene and found Jamie Aaron Morrow, 29. Morrow ignored the many commands of the officers and was taken into custody. When police searched him, they located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Morrow was charged with possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting or interfering with arrest.
