Police responded to a strong-armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning outside of the Anheuser-Busch Natural Resource Building.
The victim claimed to have been robbed at about 2:10 a.m., according to a news release.
The victim said three suspects approached him on the south side of the building. The suspects stole his wallet and cell phone. The victim told police there were no weapons displayed during the robbery.
The suspects are described as three males. Two were described as college-age and appeared between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, the release stated.
One had a stocky build and was wearing a white shirt, silver necklace and a silver watch on his left arm. The second suspect is described as having a slender build, short, possibly dark brown hair and wearing a black T-shirt and shorts. No further description of the third suspect is available.
All three suspects were last seen running west on Rollins Street. MU Police Department Capt. Brian Weimer said there are is no new information regarding the suspects.
According to Weimer, none of the nearby security cameras caught any footage of the robbery or suspects.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this event to call Sgt. Shawn Spalding at 573-864-8571 or Crime Stoppers at 573-875-8477. Anyone coming forward with information that leads to an arrest is eligible for a reward of up to $1,500.
