Police are investigating a robbery at Landmark Bank after the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money.
The robbery occurred at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday at 3100 Paris Road, according to a news release.
The suspect entered Landmark Bank and handed a teller a note demanding an unknown amount of money.
“(The robbery) was called in by a bank employee,” public information officer Latisha Stroer said.
No weapon was used in the robbery.
The suspect then headed southeast on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
The suspect, a black male approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, thin and in his early 20s, was last seen wearing light-colored clothing and a doorag, according to a news release. He has not yet been arrested, Stroer said.
Information was released to the public to aid in the suspect’s arrest.
“The community was alerted right away,” Stroer said. “I was at the scene and did on-camera interviews.”
The investigation is ongoing.
