A Columbia male was arrested Thursday in relation to his involvement in bank robberies at Boone County National Bank and Landmark Bank.
Donald Clark Jr. was taken into custody at 2:46 p.m. in the area of Old Highway 63 and Ammonette, according to a news release.
“The suspect admitted his involvement with both robberies as well as attempted robbery at the Dollar General on Business and the armed robbery at Breaktime on Nebraska,” Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.
Clark allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of money from Landmark Bank on Feb. 23 after handing the teller a note demanding money.
Police believe he robbed Boone County National Bank on Feb. 24 in a similar manner.
“During the bank robberies he did not display a weapon, but he did display a weapon at Breaktime and the Dollar General,” Stroer said.
The amount of money stolen has not been disclosed.
Clark was arrested on suspicion of four counts of first-degree robbery and four counts of armed criminal action.
