The Office of Student Conduct recently worked with Residential Life to provide a survey for the student population. The survey was created to provide feedback to Student Conduct and Residential Life.

The aim of the survey is to find any weak areas in the student conduct process at MU. If there are any, the two groups plan to use the information acquired from this survey to remedy them.

“We plan to critically examine the results of the survey and explore best practices to improve areas of concern,” Young said.

A random group of MU students was chosen to complete the survey, which 72 questions long and is the first of its kind.

“(The survey will be used to) gain a better understanding of campus climate regarding the knowledge base of our students on the Standard of Conduct and identify ways to improve the student conduct process,” said Donnell Young, Office of Student Conduct senior coordinator.

Student Life and Residential Life want the best possible success rate for the student conduct process, Residential Life area coordinator Tyler Page said.

“Just as done with many student support services coordinated by either the Office of Student Conduct or Department of Residential Life, we are evaluating the MU student conduct process in an effort to identify areas of success and areas of needed growth,” Page said. “We strive for excellence in our work to enhance the student experience through the student conduct process, and this is just one example of how we continually work to better what we do.”

The survey was sent out March 5 and will be available until March 31 to selected students living on campus.
