On Wednesday, police arrested three suspects involved in a series of robberies, including one at Hong Kong Restaurant.

The robberies took place during a span of two weeks, and occurred at the Break Time Convenience Store at 110 Nifong Boulevard, Motel 6 East at 3402 I-70 Drive Southeast and the Hong Kong Restaurant on 106 West Business Loop.

Authorities apprehended the suspects during a traffic stop Wednesday. Their bond status remains unknown, Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.

Brittani Renner and Jamon Galbreath, both 17, and a minor were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Renner and Galbreath admitted responsibility for the robberies when questioned by authorities.

At 12:18 a.m. Friday, a robbery was reported in which two suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts and light colored masks entered the business with handguns, demanding money. The robbers were seen leaving the scene of the crime with a female driver.

Later that day at about 1:24 a.m., authorities were alerted to an armed robbery that took place at Break Time on Nifong Boulevard. The suspects were wearing dark colored clothing and light colored masks and were in possession of handguns.

Before the suspects were arrested, the descriptions initially described two men of unknown age, 5’10″ with a slender build who were both wearing masks. Renner was described as the getaway driver.

Evidence not released by the CPD also linked the three suspects to the Hong Kong robbery. On March 28, two then unidentified males wearing masks entered Hong Kong and succeeded in taking cash and leaving the scene. They were not identified until after the final robbery on Friday.

Stroer said no other information could be released regarding the suspects because the case is pending in court.
