Fraternities and sororities came together to show their organizations’ pride one last time at the Greek Week final announcements.
Held at 8 p.m. Monday on the steps of Jesse Hall, the Greek Week Steering Committee announced the winners of each division. This year’s theme was “One Mission, One Community, One Greek Week.”
“I think that it’s something that really brings the community together, and I think that’s really why the steering committee wanted to have that theme of ‘One Mission, One Community, One Greek Week,'” Greek Week adviser Jill Kassel said [in a previous Maneater article]( https://www.themaneater.com/stories/2012/3/6/one-mission-one-community-one-greek-week-greek-wee/). “Greek Week is a really good time when they come together as an entity and show not only the MU community, but the Columbia community and the mid-Missouri area community what they can do as a whole.”
Overall, Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Epsilon Pi and Sigma Pi won fifth place; Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Upsilon and Delta Chi took fourth place; Alpha Phi, Phi Gamma Delta and Theta Chi placed third place; Chi Omega, Lambda Chi Alpha and FarmHouse received second place; and Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Kappa Theta and Beta Sigma Psi won first place.
Beta Sigma Psi member Jarad Bonte said he thinks being a part of the winning Greek Week pairing is important for his fraternity.
“I think it’s been very important, especially for such a small house, and we actually won Homecoming (too), so it could (bode) very well for us in upcoming years,” he said.
