####Hatch Hall resident charged with possession of marijuana
At 8:54 p.m. Thursday, MU police officers received a call about potentially illegal activity occurring in Hatch Hall. The officers arrived and contacted Residential Life staff, who showed them to the room of John Evans, 18, who was alone in his room. The officers searched his room and found a small quantity of marijuana, a glass pipe, a wooden dugout and some alcohol, according to the police report. Evans was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
####Man gives counterfeit bill to McDonald’s worker
At about 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Richard Kenneth Anderson, 18, gave a counterfeit $50 bill to the McDonald’s drive-thru at 3206 Clark Lane, according to a Columbia Police Department report. When officers reviewed video surveillance footage, they were able to get the car’s license plate number. Police were able to match the license plate to Anderson’s residence on Sarazen Court and arrested him there. He was charged with one count of forgery.
####Taxi driver assaulted at downtown intersection
Brooks Levi Carlson, 19, was arrested at about 11:05 p.m. Thursday when police were called to Tenth Street and Broadway about an assault. The victim of the assault said he was stopped at the intersection in his taxi when a car pulled up beside him and Carlson sprayed something into his eyes, which irritated them. Officers were able to find Carlson and arrest him. He is charged with one count of assault.
####Man trespasses at El Rancho, takes food from customers’ plates
Dorian M. Henderson, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree trespassing Friday. Henderson was at El Rancho, located at 1014 E. Broadway, where he was quite intoxicated, according to Columbia police reports. He was walking around taking food from customers’ plates and eating it. Management instructed Henderson to leave but he refused. Police arrived and took Henderson into custody.
####MUPD arrest two caught drinking at Stankowski Field
At 1:55 a.m. Sunday, an MUPD officer was on a bike patrol near Stankowski Field and observed two youthful looking males who seemed visibly intoxicated on the field. The officer stopped Tanner Sorrill and Evan Vollbracht, both 18, and confirmed they were underage and drunk. Both were charged with possession of alcohol by minors by consumption and released on signature summons, according to a police report.
