What an unfortunate situation The Maneater found itself in last week when it got wrapped up with MSA’s lust for more money.
Although the question begs to be asked: Did our fairly incompetent MSA President Xavier “XJ” Billingsley really misspeak several times, and not catch his error in his quote verification email, leaving our student body to assume one of his more qualified underlings realized his mistake after The Maneater went to print?
Or is it a case of The Maneater being lazy in reporting and just trying to cover up its own blunder?
It’s hard to tell, given the fact that leadership on both sides is pretty pathetic. It’s almost an epidemic on campus. What have you heard of lately from our student leaders? Whatever happened to those guys elected to RHA? Though to be fair, maybe it’s all the fault of The Maneater’s leadership once again, failing to report on anything of substance. Great job delivering groundbreaking front pages!
So I guess my point is: Student body, let’s try better next time when electing leadership. We’ve got a chance to start things over in a couple of weeks when it comes time to vote for a new MSA president. Attend the debates. Ask them questions. Take it upon yourself to be informed.
