A man was robbed on the southeast side of Stankowski Field early Saturday, according to an MU Police Department news release.
Between 2:30 and 3 a.m., the victim was approached from behind near the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library. The suspect demanded money, which the victim gave to him, then the suspect punched him twice in the face, knocking him to the ground. According to the release, the suspect ran east toward the MU Student Recreation Complex.
As of Monday evening, no updates were available in the case.
The suspect is described as an approximately 6-foot, 200-pound black male between 20 and 30 years old. He had buzzed or balding hair, an unkempt bushy beard and mustache, glazed-over eyes and a small cross tattoo on the inside of his right forearm, according to the release.
