####Police find Vicodin, marijuana in Hudson Hall
MU officers responded to a call of a narcotic smell at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday. Officers met with Residential Life staff at Hudson Hall where the smell was reported. Upon investigating the room in question, David Schneider, 18, and Kyle Olson, 19, were both arrested on drug-related charges. Schneider was arrested on charges of possession of alcohol, Vicodin, 35 grams or less of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Olson was arrested on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer said.
####Woman arrested after allegedly tearing off man’s dreadlocks
Columbia police officers responded to a call of domestic disturbance at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday at 1900 Waverly Court. Brittney Crutchfield became physical in an argument about money problems with the male victim. The victim lived with Crutchfield, 22, and is the father of her child, the source of the money dispute. Crutchfield kicked and hit the victim, as well as pulled his hair, tearing dreadlocks off of the victim’s head. Crutchfield was arrested on charges third-degree domestic assault, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.
####Police find child alone, arrest mother on endangerment charges
A witness called CPD to 3507 Zinnia Drive about a child wandering the area without a parent or guardian in sight at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday. The 2-year-old child was said to be wearing only a diaper. When officers arrived at the scene, they located the mother of the child, Deann Reynolds, near the 3400 block of Zinnia. Reynolds, 28, had fallen asleep and her child got out of the house. Officers arrested Reynolds for second-degree child endangerment.
4. Loose dog leads to violation
A female jogger alerted an officer on patrol in Indian Hills Park of a black dog running off leash at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday. The officer located the owner, Janel Rhoda. Rhoda, 37, was arrested and charged with unlawfully having a dog off a leash in the park.
####Man arrested in park on trespassing, drug paraphernalia charges
Columbia police found Roger Roberts, 46, at 1:10 a.m. Thursday in Field Park after closing time. Roberts initially resisted arrest and pulled away from the officer. Once the officer had Roberts restrained, he was searched. Several small silver metal pipes used for smoking crack cocaine were in Roberts’ possession and he was arrested for resisting arrest, first-degree trespassing and use or possession of drug paraphernalia
