Ramen noodles are a way of survival for college students. With the cost of rent, books and everything else that comes with attending an institution of higher education, food sometimes gets put on the back burner. However, you can spice up your daily ramen to create a delicious, restaurant-quality dish. Ramen Bolognese will prove you don’t need to be a professional chef to make something great for dinner.
Ingredients:
1 package of ramen noodles (no flavor packet needed)
1/3 cup of ground sausage
1/3 cup of marinara sauce
1/4 cup of alfredo sauce
Pinch of salt and pepper
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
Place the ramen into a bowl and fill it with water until the noodles are fully covered. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. While the noodles are cooking in the microwave, place the sausage in a heated pan on medium-high. Add the salt and pepper and cook it until the meat is barely browned, simultaneously breaking apart the sausage into little pieces. Once browned, dump the marinara and alfredo sauces into the pan with the sausage and let it simmer for about 2 minutes. If you want to add red pepper flakes for spice, add them at this time. Once the noodles are done, drain the water from the bowl and place the noodles on a plate. Pour the Bolognese sauce (consisting of sausage, marinara sauce and alfredo sauce) on top of the noodles, grab a fork and enjoy!
