####Police arrest man on trespassing charge at Ellis Library
Police arrested a 20-year-old man at Ellis Library early Thursday morning.
In 2011, Brandin Bell received a trespassing warning stating he was banned from the premises for a year, MU Police Chief Jack Watring said.
The individual was seen on the premises Thursday morning, according to MUPD reports.
Police made contact with Bell on the second floor and arrested him on a first-degree trespassing charge.
Bell was processed and released on signature summons.
####Man flees traffic stop, arrested on second encounter
After observing a traffic violation, officers proceeded to arrest Gerald Leonard, 21, on Thursday night.
During a routine traffic patrol, police witnessed a vehicle pull out of the Bengal’s Bar & Grill parking lot without illuminated taillights, according to MUPD reports.
Police pulled Leonard over, prompting him to flee the scene on foot. Police chased Leonard a short distance, but the suspect successfully got away, Watring said.
Later that evening, Leonard was located and brought in for questioning, where he was charged with failing to signal, operating a mechanically defective vehicle on a roadway and resisting arrest, according to MUPD reports.
Leonard wouldn’t answer the officer’s questions, causing him to be charged with the failure to comply with the lawful order of a police officer, Watring said.
Leonard was released on a $500 bond for the charge of resisting arrest and on signature summons for the remaining charges.
####Man arrested after vomiting, taking off pants in unknown residence
Columbia police arrested Chase Alan Frerking, 19, at about 6:15 a.m. Friday when they responded to a report of a forced entry at 116 College Ave.
When officers arrived, they found Frerking had puked in the residence and removed his pants before falling asleep in a chair. He had knocked over items in the house nearby.
Frerking was charged with first-degree burglary and minor purchase or possession of intoxicating liquor, Columbia Police Department spokesperson Jill Schlude said.
####23-year-old arrested after shoving resident, damaging cars
Parker John Boggs, 23, was arrested just after 9 p.m. Friday when Columbia police arrived at 2501 S. Providence Rd.
Boggs was reported to be yelling at residents. He had forced his way through the door of one home when he pushed one of the residents and was pushed in return by the resident’s boyfriend, according to the police report. Boggs also damaged several vehicles with rocks.
He was charged with first-degree property damage, second-degree property damage, first-degree trespassing and two counts of third-degree assault, Schlude said.
####Two spotted on top of Jesse Hall, face trespassing charges
Officers responded to a report of trespassing at Jesse Hall early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of two individuals walking around on the roof of Jesse Hall, Watring said.
Kevin Bird, 18, and Jackson Robbins, 18, both admitted to being on the roof, according to MUPD reports.
Bird and Robbins were arrested on the charge of first-degree trespassing and released on signature summons.
####Man arrested on drug, domestic assault charges
Officers were dispatched to investigate a possible assault Sunday morning at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Officers located Robert Wallace, 23, on Keene Street near an entrance to the hospital, according to MUPD reports.
The witness on the scene reported her ex-boyfriend “went crazy” and tried to choke her, Watring said.
Police also found Wallace in possession of marijuana, according to MUPD reports.
Wallace was arrested on charges of second-degree domestic assault as a prior offender and the possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana as a prior offender.
Wallace also received a trespassing warning stating he is no longer allowed on the hospital’s premises.
Wallace was arrested and transported to Boone County Jail.
