The Rolling Stones, who started their musical career in 1962, remain fierce with the release of their 50th anniversary compilation, _GRRR!_ The album is available in multiple formats, including in 3 CDs with 50 songs, 4 CDs with 80 songs and vinyl. _GRRR!_ includes recordings from the beginning of their career and two recently recorded songs, “Doom and Gloom” and “One More Shot.”
“Doom and Gloom” has a darker side to it, emphasizing political issues and lust. Watching the words come to life through their music video was absolutely wild. The video includes a wide alignment of visual aspects from zombies slugging around to a woman’s head exploding after overeating. Though that song strays from the path they tend to take, “One More Shot” stays closer to home. Accompanied by Keith Richards on guitar, the lyrics focus on getting another chance with a woman.
Overall, _GRRR!_ does a great job wrapping up the past 50 years for The Rolling Stones. The album takes America back to some of the greatest hits growing up, but the band lost its original sound near the end.
