####Man arrested and charged with loitering in parking garage
MU police arrested Jeffrey Dillingham, 40, Monday evening at the Conley Avenue Garage.
Dillingham was loitering under the stairwell for a lengthy amount of time, according to MUPD reports. After receiving a call about Dillingham, police arrived on the scene and found Dillingham under the stairwell with a 12-pack of beer.
Police recognized Dillingham due to his previous trespass warnings on campus and arrested him, MUPD spokesman Scott Richardson said.
Dillingham was taken into custody and released on summons.
####Intoxicated minor arrested while carrying orange traffic cone
Nathan Kellerman, 20, was arrested on the charge of the purchase or possession of intoxicants by a minor during a routine patrol early Tuesday morning.
The officer on patrol saw Kellerman carrying an orange traffic cone, causing him to stop Kellerman, who appeared to be intoxicated.
Kellerman was also arrested on charges of false identification and deception, according to MUPD reports, and he was released on summons.
####Hospital patient tries to set mattress on fire
Officers arrested Jacob Ball, 29, on charges of second-degree property damage and knowingly burning or exploding property at University Hospital on Wednesday night.
Police were dispatched to investigate a call from the hospital staff. Ball, a patient at the hospital, was trying to set his mattress on fire, according to MUPD reports.
Ball was arrested and transported to Boone County Jail.
####Shoplifter pulls knife on loss prevention officers
Columbia police arrested Jeffery Davis, 26, Monday afternoon at the Kohl’s department store on Green Meadows Road. Police were told a shoplift was in progress.
Police said Davis was seen taking three pairs of pants into a dressing room. He then left the dressing room without the pants, and the pants were not in the room.
Loss prevention contacted Davis when he left the store. He tried to get past them, but the officer would not allow him to leave. Davis proceeded to grab the officer around the throat then let him go and pulled out a knife.
Police arrived and arrested Davis, who had the pants beneath his clothing. He was arrested and charged with armed criminal action, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, a warrant for a hit-and-run charge and a felony probation parole warrant for a forgery charge.
####Ex-girlfriend held against her will, sexually assaulted overnight
David Immanuel Jehoshu Cain, 22, was arrested on assault charges at a Towne Drive residence Saturday night.
Cain’s ex-girlfriend called the police Sunday morning and said Cain came over to the residence to see their child. After refusing to leave, Cain attempted to sexually assault her. The victim said she tried to leave, but Cain held her against her will and broke her cell phone and two landline phones. Cain punched her in the face and threw hot chocolate on her, continuing to assault her overnight. Once Cain fell asleep, the victim was able to escape and call the police.
When officers arrived, they arrested Cain and charged him with second-degree domestic assault, first-degree child endangerment, two counts of felonious restraint and one count of sexual abuse.
