####Three trespassers arrested at local park
Officers arrested three individuals at Clyde Wilson Memorial Park late Tuesday night.
While monitoring traffic at the southeast entrance of the park, police observed a group of men walking into the park after hours. The park closes at 11 p.m., MUPD spokesman Captain Brian Weimer said.
Upon approaching the individuals, the officer detected the odor of marijuana, according to police reports.
Robert Pendleton, 19, James Renz, 19, and Joshua Coquyt, 18, were arrested on the charge of first-degree trespassing. Renz and Coquyt were also arrested on the charge of the possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.
Pendleton, Renz and Coquyt were processed and released on summons.
####Wolpers resident arrested on possession charges
Police arrested Gregory Reinwald, 19, at Wolpers Hall on Tuesday.
Police were dispatched to Wolpers to investigate a report of marijuana odor coming from one of the rooms. After making contact with Residential Life, police were taken to Reinwald’s room.
Reinwald was arrested on charges of possessing 35 grams or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol as a minor. He was later released on summons.
####Intoxicated student arrested in street
Police arrested Kelly Walsh, 19, near Tiger Avenue and Kentucky Boulevard early Wednesday morning.
Police observed Walsh stumbling while walking down the sidewalk, causing the officer to approach her. Her eyes were glassy and her breath smelled of intoxicants, according to police reports.
Police arrested Walsh on charges of visible intoxication as a minor, as well as possessing a modified driver’s license. Walsh was processed and released on summons.
####Woman assaulted by neighbors
Tiffany Morrissette, 27, and Jajuan Morrissette, 29, were arrested at about 12:44 p.m. Wednesday.
An assault was reported on Tuesday at 2622 Quail Drive by the victim, who reported the Morrissettes confronted her and assaulted her in her home. They live on the other side of the duplex.
The victim told police Jajuan held her down and choked her on her bed. Jajuan was charged with second-degree assault on a $4,500 bond and a warrant for first-degree trespassing misdemeanor on a $272.50 bond. Tiffany was charged with third-degree assault on a $500 bond.
####Man assaults taxi driver
Officers arrived in the area of Walnut Street and College Avenue in response to a disturbance at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday.
An employee of Rick’s Taxi reported Aimable Ruganzu, 25, grabbed her leg while she was driving him to his Oakland Gravel home.
The victim pulled the taxi over and told Ruganzu to get out and pay his fare. He refused and was arrested on stealing charges with a $500 bond and one charge of third-degree assault on a $500 bond.
