####Field House fight ends in arrest
A Columbia Police Department officer on patrol in the Hitt Street and East Broadway area saw Robert Harrison, 29, punch a man in the face outside The Field House at 1:11 a.m. Thursday. The officer tried to arrest Harrison, but Harrison pulled away and tried to escape. Harrison was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and third-degree assault, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said.
####Arrests made after Wolpers fight
MUPD officers were called to Wolpers Hall on Friday night by Residential Life staff after Cody Tesson and Matthew Matteucci, both 18, got into a fight. Tesson and Matteucci were arrested on charges of private peace disturbance, MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer said.
####Marijuana found in Defoe-Graham, three arrested
Defoe-Graham Residential Life staff called MUPD after smelling marijuana Friday night. Upon searching the room where the smell was coming from, officers also found methamphetamines and alcohol. Three individuals were involved, Tomas Reddy, Cameron Biel and Matthew Steindorf. Reddy, 19, was arrested on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and minor in possession of alcohol; Biel, 18, was arrest on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine and minor in possession of alcohol; Steindorf, 19, was arrested on charges of having a fake driver’s license and possessing alcohol as a minor.
####Man stopped for speeding, arrested on stealing charges
CPD officers stopped Victor Mendoza on Club Village Drive in the parking lot of Walgreens for speeding Saturday night. Mendoza didn’t have a valid driver’s license and was arrested on charges for the manner of operating a motor vehicle along with operating a motor vehicle on a highway without a valid license. The officer ran Mendoza’s name through the CPD record system and found Mendoza was a suspect of a Feb. 19 case. Mendoza was seen in the West Broadway Wal-Mart Supercenter’s security camera feed, stealing three packages. Mendoza, 29, received the additional charges of stealing.
####Minor caught stealing alcohol from Quinton’s
Evan Policht, 18, was arrested at Quinton’s Bar and Deli on charges of first-degree burglary, minor in possession of alcohol and stealing Sunday after midnight. Management of Quinton’s Bar saw Policht and another man with crates of liquor in their hands after the back door had been pried open and broken. Policht was seen on the patio, which was closed, and jumped off the rooftop into the east alley. An officer found and detained him.
