With all of the snow, I have found myself wanting something that could combat the freezing weather. I settled on a nice bowl of warm, almost gooey cinnamon apples that contain enough warmth and sweetness to last me the rest of this winter. As always, I added an excessive amount of cinnamon and it came out perfectly. It tastes reminiscent of apple pie filling — the only thing missing is the pie shell. Either way, it is an excellent way to fight off this dreary weather.
Ingredients:
1 apple
1/2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon of water
Drizzling of maple syrup
Generous sprinkling of cinnamon
Directions:
Cut the apple into slices and place them into a bowl. If you want smoother texture, skin the apple. If you are feeling lazy and just want some cinnamon with apple, feel free to skip this step. Add the butter, water, syrup and cinnamon. Place another bowl or plate on top of the bowl with apples and shake. Microwave it for 30 to 45 seconds. Stir it a little and enjoy.
