####One arrested on outstanding warrant
MUPD officers arrested Jesus Roman, 23, at the Hitt Street Garage on Monday morning. Roman was speeding in the parking garage, according to MUPD reports.
When officers pulled Roman over, they discovered he had a warrant for his arrest in Callaway County for driving with a suspended license.
Roman was arrested and transported to Boone County Jail where he has since been released.
####One pulled over regarding headlights, arrested on drug charges
Officers arrested Kyle Lynn, 19, at Hospital and Monk Drive early Tuesday morning.
After observing a Ford Focus driving down the road without illuminated headlights, MUPD officers pulled Lynn over. Officers determined the vehicle’s license plate expired last October, according to MUPD reports.
As officers approached the vehicle, they detected the odor of marijuana. Lynn admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle, MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer said. Officers found a glass pipe and a bag of marijuana in the vehicle, according to MUPD reports.
Lynn was arrested on charges of improper lights, operating an unlicensed motor vehicle, failing to exhibit proof of insurance, possessing 35 grams or less of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. Lynn was released on summons.
####Teen arrested on theft charges
CPD officers arrested Derek David, 18, at the Columbia Public Library on Tuesday after linking him to three burglaries.
According to CPD reports, the three thefts included an iPad from the Columbia Public Library, an iPhone from the Joe Machens Mercedes Dealership and a laptop from a home on North William Street.
####Man arrested after domestic assault
CPD officers were called to Rice Road on Tuesday night after reports of a domestic assault.
Timothy Midgyett, 18, was in a fight with a female victim. He pulled the victim out of a car by her hair and bit her head as she was trying to get her 2-month-old child out of the vehicle. Midgyett was arrested at 9:09 p.m. on charges of third-degree domestic assault and first-degree child endangerment.
####Two arrested on stealing and trespassing charges
CPD officers were called to Old Highway 63 on Wednesday in reference to a larceny in progress. When officers arrived at the scene, a Boone County deputy had already stopped the two suspects, Bennie Pearl and Kenneth Glasgow. Pearl and Glasgow were observed loading scrap metal from the property into their vehicle and were arrested on misdemeanor stealing and trespassing charges.
