####Student arrested on theft charge at Student Recreation Center
MU Police Department officers arrested Rachel Duvall, 21, on a larceny charge Monday night.
A staff member at the Student Recreation Center reported a theft of $100 on April 15. After an investigation, MUPD identified Duvall as a suspect in the case, according to MUPD reports.
Duvall was arrested on the charge of theft and released on summons.
####One arrested for fraudulently using a disabled parking permit
MUPD officers arrested Daniel Cisar, 22, at the Hitt Street Garage on Tuesday morning.
Police observed a car displaying an altered handicapped parking permit placard. Police made contact with Cisar and arrested him on the charge of fraudulently using an altered windshield placard, according to MUPD reports.
Cisar was released on summons.
####Trespasser at Plaza 900 arrested on outstanding warrant
MUPD officers arrested Timothy Jones, 19, after responding to a report of trespassing at Plaza 900 on Wednesday night.
MUPD officers were sent to Plaza 900 after the assistant manager requested Jones’ removal from the premises. Jones was causing a disturbance with a member of the staff, according to MUPD reports.
MUPD officers made contact with Jones and discovered he had an active warrant in the city of Columbia for trespassing, leading to Jones’ arrest.
####Man arrested after breaking into a car
Luis Antonio Mendez-Mendez, 23, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. Saturday in the area of Providence Road and Third Avenue on counts of first-degree property damage and second-degree tampering.
Witnesses report that Mendez-Mendez was trying to get into a vehicle by hitting the windows with a blowtorch. When an officer arrived, Mendez-Mendez was sitting in the front seat of the vehicle.
####Teen arrested after resisting arrest
Patrick Lee, 18, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. Friday night on counts of false identification, public nuisance, purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor and two counts of resisting arrest.
Columbia Police Department reports state that Lee was observed urinating in view of the public at 220 S. Tenth St. When an officer announced his presence, Lee fled the scene. He was located at the intersection of Hitt and Elm streets, but while officers tried to determine his identity, he took off running again.
