#### Department of Revenue to no longer scan CCW certificates ####
Gov. Jay Nixon announced Tuesday that the Department of Revenue would cease to collect, scan and retain concealed carry weapon certificates of qualification endorsements.

#### Three law enforcement groups join Nixon’s call for Medicaid ####
The Missouri Police Chiefs Association, the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police and the executive board for the Missouri Sheriffs Association announced their support in Gov. Jay Nixon’s call for strengthening Medicaid.
The organizations said their support comes from the improved access to treatment of individuals with mental illness.
“We’ve seen the tragic consequences of individuals with serious mental illness not getting the treatment they need, and becoming a danger to themselves or others as a result,” said Detective Sgt. Kevin Ahlbrand, president of the Missouri FOP. “The members of the Missouri FOP are on the front lines protecting the public everyday and we support this proposal because it will make law enforcement more effective and our communities safer.”
The Missouri Department of Mental Health released a report last month which stated that strengthening Medicaid would allow for more access to treatment for individuals with mental illness.
