####One arrested on drug charge
MUPD officers arrested Kurt Bailye, 19, Monday afternoon on Rollins Street.
Officers were dispatched to check out a vehicle parked in the loading dock of Johnston Hall. Bailye was sitting in the vehicle with the windows down, according to MUPD reports.
While approaching the vehicle, police detected the odor of marijuana. Several Swisher Sweets wrappers and several lighters were found in the car. Bailye was arrested on charges of the possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and released on summons.
####Freshman trespasses at Jesse Hall
MUPD officers arrested Jansen Darst, 19, on the charge of trespassing at Jesse Hall early Tuesday morning.
Police observed three subjects near the fire escape of Jesse Hall. Darst dropped down from the fire escape to the ground, according to MUPD reports.
After identifying Darst, police asked why he was on the fire escape.
“It was one of the seven things freshmen are supposed to do at MU,” Darst said,
according to MUPD reports.
Darst was arrested on the charge of first-degree trespassing and released on summons.
####Man arrested on improper registration charge
MUPD officers arrested John Schneider, 37, on two charges after a traffic stop near Rollins Street.
Police were monitoring a crosswalk at East Campus Drive and observed a Pontiac with an expired license plate drive by. After making contact with Schneider, they discovered he was driving with an expired license. Schneider’s license had been revoked for driving with a .10 percent blood alcohol content, according to MUPD reports.
Schneider was arrested on charges of driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and driving with an expired license. He was released on summons.
####Man arrested on trespassing
CPD officers were dispatched to Lincoln Drive at 10:57 p.m. Wednesday after Columbia Housing Authority officers observed Todez Donald, 28, walking across housing authority property.
Officers advised Donald that he was under arrest for first-degree trespassing. The suspect backed away as if he was going to take off running, but officers took Donald to the ground in order to detain him. While searching the suspect, a small baggie of marijuana fell from his hat.
Donald was arrested on charges of first-degree trespassing, resisting or interfering with an arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
####Man arrested after smashing bar window
At 1:37 a.m. Thursday morning, CPD officers were called to a disturbance in front of On The Rocks Bar on East Broadway. Raymond Moses, 24, smashed the window of the bar while management detained him until officers arrived on the scene.
Moses got away from management but was located by officers at the 1200 block of East Walnut Street. Moses was arrested on charges of second-degree property damage.
