Salted caramel mocha, chocolate chai tea: With such a variety of flavors, it can be tempting to give in to the daily Starbucks trip. But despite the convenience of popping into Starbucks, there is nothing quite as delicious — and wallet-friendly — as brewing your own personal cup of coffee.
Here are four quick and easy recipes you can make at home to get you energized for the morning:
**Maple Cream Coffee**
Ingredients:
+ 1 cup coffee
+ 1/4 cup of half-and-half cream
+ Maple syrup as needed
+ Whipped cream
Stir cream and syrup together. Heat to medium-warm, either in a saucepan or in a microwave. Pour mixture into coffee. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup. This quick and easy drink gives you a taste of fall whenever you please.
**Creamy Vanilla Coffee**
Ingredients:
+ 1 cup coffee
+ 2 tbsp vanilla pudding mix
+ 1 tbsp of sugar
+ 1/2 cup of milk
Combine sugar and pudding mix in cup. Stir in coffee, adding milk to your liking. Serve hot or chilled over ice. If you want, add a bit of whipped cream and chocolate syrup for a bit of sweetness.
**Nutella Mocha**
Ingredients:
+ 1 cup coffee
+ 1 tbsp Nutella
+ 1/4 milk
+ Whipped cream
Put spoonful of Nutella in cup. Pour coffee over, stirring until Nutella has fully melted. Add milk. For the whipped cream, mix together whipped cream and Nutella for a chocolatey topping. Adjust amount of Nutella depending on how sweet you like your coffee.
Passion Tea Lemonade
Ingredients:
+ Tazo Passion tea bags (or any flavor you like)
+ 1/4 lemonade
+ 1 cup water
+ Ice
+ Sugar
Want the caffeine kick but don’t like the taste of coffee? Try this Starbucks-inspired tea. Steep tea bags in cup boiling water for 4 minutes. Once tea is strong enough, put tea in fridge to chill. Once tea is cold enough, mix in lemonade. To add sugar as a syrup, boil 1 cup of water with 1 cup of sugar and stir in. If you don’t have the time or a stove, simply add in the amount of sugar you’d like. As an option, pour tea into a sealed container with ice. Mix to get that Starbucks foaminess.
