KANSAS CITY — MU students can purchase student discount tickets Thursday for this year’s matchup against the University of Hawaii at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Nov. 16.
A limited number of tickets for the “Maneater Student Section” will be available online through [the Missouri box office](http://www.mutigers.com/students) for only $10 beginning 6 p.m. Thursday.
The newspaper will also partner with game producer Idol Sports to coordinate special giveaways, including a grand prize package with tickets, travel and lodging accommodations for eight students, leading up to the game. There will also be in-game contests and prizes for all fans attending the game.
The game will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1995 and will mark the first time Missouri has played at the Sprint Center since leaving the Big 12 to join the Southeastern Conference. Hawaii has never played at the Sprint Center.
Missouri’s last visit to the Sprint Center came during the 2012 Big 12 Championship ,when the Tigers beat Baylor, 90-75, to win the postseason title in their final season with the conference.
Established in 1955, The Maneater is the official student newspaper of the University of Missouri and operates independently from the student government and School of Journalism.
