The following investigations are in progress, and the following people were arrested or issued summons, according to police reports.
####Minor in possession of alcohol arrested
Freshman Steven Kusnierz, 19, was arrested for the possession of alcohol at 3:24 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. During the stop at the intersection of Rock Quarry Road and Grindstone Parkway, Kusnierz was also arrested for driving under suspension and careless driving. He was released on summons.
####Littering leads to arrest
Officers arrested junior James Michaels, 20, for littering at 10:02 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Ninth and University streets. Michaels was also arrested for presenting the arresting officer with an altered ID and possessing alcohol as a minor. He was released on summons.
####Freshman disturbing the peace arrested
Freshman Corey Nieder, 19, was arrested for disturbing the peace and for possession of alcohol at 1:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Elm and Seventh streets. He was released on summons.
####Freshman abusing animals arrested
Freshman Nickholes Martin, 18, was arrested for animal abuse and later for resisting arrest at 1:02 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Tiger Diggs. Martin was transferred to Boone County Jail, where he was unable to pay a $1,000 bond.
####Possession of drug paraphernalia leads to arrest
Freshman Brenden Garth, 18, was arrested at 4:39 p.m. Sunday at 601 Rockhill Road. He was arrested for possessing 35 grams or less of marijuana. Garth was released on summons.
