The following investigations are in progress, and the following people were arrested or issued summons, according to police reports.
#####Senior arrested for larceny near Cold Stone
Senior Alex Young, 21, was arrested for stealing at 2:09 p.m. Nov. 4. He was arrested at the corner of Elm and Tenth streets, next to Cold Stone Creamery. Young was released on city summons for stealing.
#####Freshman commits second-degree theft
Freshman Luke Wyrick, 19, was arrested for theft in the amount of $500 or less at 1:53 a.m. Nov. 5. The theft was listed as second-degree burglary. He was arrested at Laws Hall. The MU Police Department left him in the custody of Boone County Jail where he was placed under a $4,500 bond.
#####Student charged with two state summons for drug paraphernalia
Freshman Thomas Hellauer, 18, was arrested for several violations of city and state laws at 9:11 p.m. Nov. 5. The foremost violation was possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana with the intent to use. He was also arrested for using false identification claiming he was over the age of 21. Hellauer was also in possession of alcohol as a minor. He was arrested at Lathrop Hall. He was released by MUPD with two state summons set for an unknown date.
#####DWI near Plaza 900
Junior David Huguelet, 20, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:42 a.m. Nov. 8. Officers found him swerving across an excess of three or more lanes while driving. Huguelet was stopped in a 2008 Nissan near the loading dock of Plaza 900. Huguelet was transported to Boone County Jail on $500 bond.
#####Minor in possession arrested next to Peace Park
Freshman Bruce Toal, 20, was arrested as a minor in possession of alcohol at 11:56 p.m. Nov. 9. He was arrested at 610 Elm St., next to Peace Park. MUPD officers stopped Toal for being visibly intoxicated. He was released on summons.
