**Step 1:** First, gather your materials. You’ll need wrapping paper, tape, scissors, a piece of paper for the nametag (you can also buy a premade tag) and, of course, your present.
**Step 2:** Measure out how much wrapping paper you’ll need by setting the present on the roll of wrapping paper and folding the paper over the box to make sure it will cover the whole gift.
**Step 3:** Take the longer side of the paper and fold it over the present, taping it on a little over halfway across.
**Step 4:** Take the other long side of the paper and fold it over, as well. At this point, your present should be completely covered, except for the ends.
**Step 5:** For the end of the present, fold the bottom outside corners in and form a triangle. Then take the excess paper at the top and tuck it under the triangle.
**Step 6:** Tape the triangle to the side of the present near where the other ends are taped. This will be the bottom of the present.
**Step 7:** Repeat steps six and seven on the other end and flip the present over. This side should look clean and polished.
**Step 8:** Now to make the nametag: Take the scissors and cut a piece of paper. Make sure to cut the nametag proportional to the present. (This step is not necessary if you buy the pre-made name tags from the store.)
**Step 9:** Write the “To” and “From” on the nametag and place a piece of rolled tape on the back of the nametag.
**Step 10:** Lastly, slap the nametag on your present and voilà! You have a perfectly wrapped present.
If you want to add a bow to your present, you can usually purchase one wherever you buy your wrapping paper. All you have to do is place a piece of rolled tape onto the bottom of the bow and place it where you see fit.
