February has snuck up on us all, and we’re sure some of you are tired of seeing the pinks and the reds. But it’s that time of year again — the time in which couples remember their love for each other and decide to show it with presents, trips and the works (how sweet).
Let’s not be too bitter about it though. Having somebody to share this day with is wonderful, but if you find yourself alone on Valentine’s Day, don’t sweat it.
MOVE kept you in mind and planned, for you, quite an eventful day:
**First Things First:** _A walk to remember_
Once you are finished with class make your way over to MizzouRec, put the suggested Valentine tunes on and hit the treadmill. No, we’re not trying to sneakily make you lose weight or anything, but it will help relieve some of the stress of the week and keep your brain occupied. Because honestly, who wants to sit in their room and think about how alone they are? Not you!
**Indulge in the Good Life:** _You know, the spa life_
After finishing a workout, head on down to zouLIFE. It just so happens that they are fond of you, and are giving you 15 percent off of any spa service of your choice. Just imagine how great it will feel to receive that massage you never had or the facial you always wanted. Go for it!
**Meals and Steals:** _A Grill deal_
The day has moved on and you are now hungry. Not interested in going to a restaurant and viewing all those lovey couples? Campus food not piquing your interest? Make a trip downtown and indulge in some Campus Bar and Grill. They have happy hour specials from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a decidedly unromantic sports vibe.
**Top of The Night:** _Movies and Such_
At 9:30 p.m. in Wrench Auditorium, there will be a showing of “About Time.” The trailer gave us “The Time Traveler’s Wife” part two vibe, but it could turn out to be a really good way to end your night, and it only costs $1! Why not?
Hopefully, you will appreciate the love MOVE has shown for you and indulge in at least one of the above activities. Being alone on Valentine’s Day is not unbearable, and ultimately, it gives you time to love yourself.
