####1. Man arrested after warrant for unpaid speeding ticket
The MU Police Department arrested Roosevelt Buck, 22, at 1:43 p.m. Thursday. Capt. Brian Weimer said Buck was pulled over in a traffic stop near 42 N. Cedar Lake Drive when officers discovered there was a warrant out for Buck’s arrest. Buck’s warrant stemmed from an unpaid speeding ticket, Weimer said. Buck was arrested and taken to Boone County Jail.
####2. Man charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and minor in possession
Sophomore Samuel Miller, 18, was collected by MUPD officers at 1:20 a.m. Friday. Weimer said officers received a call from Laws Hall indicating that Miller was in possession of illegal substances. When officers went to investigate, they found Miller had a pipe and alcohol, Weimer said. Miller was charged with the purchase or possession of intoxicants by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was released on summons.
####3. Improper lights on vehicle leads to DWI charge for MU student
Senior Benjamin Johnson, 22, was arrested by MUPD on March 1 at 1:45 a.m. Johnson was initially pulled over near 3705 Hermitage Road for having improper lights on his vehicle. Officers discovered during the stop that Johnson was intoxicated and had him arrested. Weimer said Johnson posted bond at the MUPD Station and was released.
####4. Man charged with DWI, failure to drive in single lane
MUPD arrested senior Jonathan Douglas, 22, at 4:55 a.m Saturday. Douglas was initially pulled over near 2405 Churchill Court for failing to drive in one lane. During the stop, Douglas failed a sobriety test and was deemed intoxicated. Officers arrested Douglas and charged him with failure to drive within a single lane and driving while intoxicated. Weimer said Douglas posted bond and was released.
