Dear Maneater,
I am writing to ask why the University of Missouri hasn’t found a safe location for the Student Parent Center daycare, currently located in one of the most dangerous buildings in University Village.
My daughter has gone to the MU SPC since 2011. Parents of SPC children have been asking whether the daycare will be relocated to a safe building and no one is answering our questions.
MU put my daughter in danger; if the concrete walkway at 602 University Village had collapsed, it could have crushed the children who played under it every day. MU’s student parents need safe, affordable and reliable daycare. Leaving us angry and up in the air about the future of our childcare sends the message that Mizzou doesn’t care about us and our children. Mizzou, you can do better than this.
