Columbia Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 3:30 a.m. Saturday at The Reserve, 2500 South Old Highway 63.
A female, 20, had her cell phone stolen by a male with a handgun, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
Leonardo Neves, 19, entered the victim’s room with the handgun and demanded property, but left with only her cell phone.
Jared Hemme, 20, a friend of the victim, was with her when the robbery occurred.
The victim reported that Hemme said he would go after Neves, left her apartment and did not return.
Hemme was arrested for first-degree robbery at the police department at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Neves was arrested for first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon at his home, 120 Antelope Drive, at 3 p.m. Saturday.
A search warrant served at Neves’ home recovered the victim’s cell phone.
Brian Collins, 21, was arrested for first-degree robbery at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
“He was probably arrested for acting in concert,” CPD spokesman Joe Bernhard said.
Although the victim knew Hemme, she did not know the other men involved in the case, Bernhard said.
No more arrests are expected in this case.
