**1. MU fails to act appropriately in Sasha Menu Courey incident**
ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” published a [scathing report](http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/10323102/university-missouri-officials-did-not-pursue-rape-case-lines-investigation-finds) March 1, which said MU did not pursue a thorough investigation of an alleged sexual assault on former Tiger swimmer Sasha Menu Courey. Courey eventually left MU before committing suicide.
MU ultimately hired an independent firm that determined the university did nothing illegal in handling the case, though the report was critical of university administration. The UM System also hired a risk management firm to address sexual assault policies.
Even with MU’s hands washed (somewhat) clean, nothing will bring Menu Courey back to life; that can’t be forgotten, no matter what new initiatives MU may pursue.
**2. Basketball transfer Zach Price arrested twice in one day**
After playing sparingly on 2012 national champion Louisville, transfer Zach Price was supposed to be a key player for the Tigers next season after sitting out this season, per NCAA transfer rules. Instead, he’ll never suit up for Mizzou.
Price was kicked off the team after being arrested twice in 13 hours for assaulting then-teammate Earnest Ross and Ross’ girlfriend on two different occasions. Ross filed a restraining order against Price on April 2. Price was dismissed from the program April 10.
**3. #LacesOut: Baggett misses, Tigers lose Homecoming game**
It was late in Mauktober, and Missouri was No. 5 in the country heading into a homecoming game against South Carolina. Then a late lead was blown. Then overtime happened. Then Andrew Baggett came in to kick a potential game-tying 24-yard field goal. It’d be easy enough, right? After all, a fan made a 30-yard field goal at halftime.
But this one didn’t go smoothly. Baggett’s kick ricocheted off the goal post, Missouri lost and some Tiger fans took to Twitter to call the kicker a word that rhymes with his last name and shower death threats upon him. Some thought the fan reaction was too much, that football is just a game — but “SEC,” or something, right?
**4. Peace out, MIZ, ily: Haith leaves for Tulsa, tells MU via text**
Tigers were rly disappointing this yr. Frank Haith texted Mike Alden like, _Bae, Im goin 2 Tulsa — evn tho its dusty & in Oklahoma._
After arriving in Columbia three years ago as Alden’s dark-horse pick to lead the struggling Tigers basketball program, Haith leaves the SEC for the American Athletic Conference. Tulsa is a less accomplished program than Missouri, but Haith is like, “DGAF, sry.”
**5. Baseball team breaks in new facility**
Missouri baseball hasn’t been good recently. Last season, the Tigers posted the program’s worst record in 38 years. This year, Missouri is once again at the bottom of the SEC, and the losing has gotten to them at times.
After an extra-inning loss to Georgia on April 4, the Tigers took their frustration out on their new training facility, breaking it in, quite literally.
Said senior pitcher Keaton Steele: “I definitely heard at least 10 f-bombs in there. Breaking stuff in a new place, I don’t know how.”
