By now, it’s a well-known fact that pop stars like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift got their respective starts on YouTube. However, there’s still quite a big musician community as well as musically inclined vloggers on the Website. Here’s a list of four online musicians to fill your ears.
**[Pete Bucknall](http://www.youtube.com/user/petesjams)**
While he doesn’t have an album out, Bucknall does consider himself a songwriter and a musician. Even though he writes his own music, many of his videos are covers of famous songs.
With a nose that looks slightly like Flynn Rider’s from “Tangled,” it might be no surprise that many of Bucknall’s covers are Disney songs. Some his bests include, “[I See the Light](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OU7obGo3q-E)” from “Tangled” and “Jack’s Lament” from “[The Nightmare Before Christmas](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlnteUKCiew).”
**[Hank Green](http://www.youtube.com/vlogbrothers)**
Yes, he’s the younger brother of John Green, author of “The Fault in Our Stars”. Among everything else that he does online, Green is also a musician. So far, he’s released three albums and multiple singles.
Singing is definitely not Green’s main profession and he doesn’t try to hide that. In all honesty, his voice isn’t amazing, but I don’t think it’s meant to be.
His songs are weirdly educational, like “[Phineas Gage](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGl5SUB8IXM),” about the railroad construction worker who survived an 1848 accident in which a huge metal rod went straight through his skull. Other tracks like “[This Isn’t Hogwarts](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2Gt9m64LBg)” are meant to be funny and to celebrate the nerd culture prevalent on the Web.
**[Bryarly Bishop](http://www.youtube.com/user/BryarlyBishop)**
This L.A. singer-songwriter just released her first full self-titled album on Oct. 18. Bishop’s soprano is sweet and listeners can tell she draws inspiration from the likes of Simon and Garfunkel and Regina Spektor.
Her YouTube channel is filled with original music, which also includes music videos like the one for “[Find Your Love](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGJhG-w4TiU),” a song about trying to break away from an old relationship. Bishop also does plenty of covers on her channel with songs like Radiohead’s “[No Surprises](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d8ht0COWE0)” and Bob Dylan’s “[It Ain’t Me, Babe](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvsSKzkle98).”
She also makes DIY videos and normal sit-down-and-chat style vlogs.
**[Troye Sivan](http://www.youtube.com/user/TroyeSivan18)**
If you haven’t heard of Sivan yet, where have you been? The 19-year-old singer, songwriter and actor from Australia released his first EP, “Trxye,” on Aug. 15. His style is reminiscent of some of pop’s biggest names today, but he can definitely hold his own among them.
While some of his songs can be catchy and upbeat, Sivan is not afraid to make serious content too. Take for example, “[The Fault in Our Stars](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqG55HdmKTE),” a song based off the popular movie and book. All proceeds from the song went to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, an Australian charity.
Not only does he put music on his YouTube channel, he also makes regular skits and vlogs, including collaborations with one of his best friends, fellow YouTube celeb [Tyler Oakley](http://www.youtube.com/user/tyleroakley).
