The Columbia Police Department is investigating an alleged home invasion that occurred inside the Phi Delta Theta house at 101 E. Burnam Rd. on Tuesday morning, [MU Alert reported to students.](http://alert.missouri.edu/).
Students were initially notified by a mass email at 1:27 a.m. about an active threat near campus. The email was followed up with information about the assault at 1:35 a.m.

The Fire and Rescue dispatch showed that emergency personnel responded to 101 Burnam Rd. at 1:09 a.m.
Per an MU Alert news release, three men allegedly struck two victims in the head. Two handguns were displayed during the assault as well.
One victim was taken to the hospital with superficial head injuries, according to a release from CPD.
The alleged suspects ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of property, per the CPD release. They were last seen heading northeast from the Phi Delta Theta house toward Providence Road, according to the release. The police stopped the search by 2:30 a.m. with suspects still at large. Another email sent at 2:40 a.m. gave students the all-clear.
All suspects were wearing dark hoodies with the hoods raised and masks covering their faces, according to the release. One suspect might be wearing blue jeans and red shoes. The initial release about the assault only described one suspect.

In change from the previous MU Alerts, this release urged students to “please call your parents to assure them that you are safe.”
In the month of April, several incidents were reported to students via MU Alert or [Clery Releases](http://mupolice.missouri.edu/clery/). On April 22, a woman was allegedly assaulted in a parking lot off Tiger Avenue and Stadium Boulevard.
