A suspicious incident occurred May 10 at MU’s Delta Delta Delta sorority house, located at 901 Richmond Ave., according to Columbia Police Department dispatch [records](https://www.gocolumbiamo.com/PSJC/Services/911/911dispatch/police.php).
“Sunday morning around 1:15 a.m., there was a minor disturbance outside of our chapter house,” said MU junior Abby Dempsey, Delta Delta Delta vice president of public relations, in an email. “Law enforcement was contacted and the house was secured. No one was harmed and we took all necessary precautions. The continued safety of our members remains to be our first priority.”
Police responded to the call at 1:21 a.m., the records show. MU Alert did not notify students of the incident.
“The caller advised someone knocked on the doors and windows of the residence,” CPD Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said in an email. “Officers checked the area and didn’t find anyone in the area. The officers cleared no report.”
MU sophomore Bryan Hill currently lives in Theta Chi fraternity’s house. He said the [recent crime incidents](https://www.themaneater.com/stories/2015/5/5/police-investigating-early-morning-assault-greekto/) in Greektown and [on campus](https://www.themaneater.com/stories/2015/5/7/suspect-involved-campus-robbery-arrested-jailed/) have made him feel less safe. It appears that more crime has occurred this year in Greektown than last year, he said. Hill also said the incident at Delta Delta Delta’s house was scary.
“Crime, like people breaking into houses, has always been on like east and west campus, but I feel like it’s just funneling to the university now,” Hill said.
