Missouri women’s basketball’s win dominated Arkansas on Sunday winning 69-48. After falling to Arkansas earlier in the season, the Tigers seemed obsessed with getting a victory, and following an outstanding performance from multiple players, they achieved just that. Here are three takeaways from the game:

**The Tigers rebounded and shot well**

The Tigers saw complete performances from a handful of players in both rebounding and shooting. For a team known for their shot selection and high-speed scoring ability, this was the type of performance the team needed. Six different players managed four rebounds or more in the game, showing the team play ability of this squad. Then, for shooting, senior Morgan Stock hit her best stride of the season, knocking down 5 threes in a great performance.

“I’ve pretty confident in my shooting,” the senior said. “I like to think every shot I take is going to go in.”

The Tigers had a 42-17 lead at halftime and never looked back.

**Missouri didn’t get sloppy**

In the first half alone, the Tigers only had two turnovers. By the end, the Tigers only committed 11 turnovers, a far cry from their 20+ turnover performances that has plagued the Tigers for much of the season.

“To see our girls regroup and win like they one today, it was some of our best basketball that we’ve played in a long time,” coach Robin Pingeton said. “It’s exciting to see toward the end of the season.”

**Arkansas couldn’t shoot**

As much success as the Tigers had on the shooting front, the same could not be said of their competition. Even early on, the Razorbacks were off from all ranges of the court. The Razorbacks accumulated only 17 points in the first half total, going 1-8 from the field. Their inability to shoot combined with the Tigers’ monster performance between the boards and from beyond the arch allowed for the lopsided victory for the Tigers.

“We got off to a horrendous start and I felt we won the second half,” Arkansas coach Jimmy Dykes said. “We knew they were going to give us their best shot and had this game circled.”

The Tigers will look to take this momentum with them as they face Auburn away from home Feb. 21.
